The New York Times informa que aproximadamente seis millones de estadounidenses que recibieron bonos de alimentación informaron que no tenían otra fuente de ingresos.

Aproximadamente uno de cada 50 estadounidenses ahora integra un núcleo familiar con un ingreso que presuntamente consiste únicamente de bonos de alimentación.

Con millones de puestos de trabajo perdidos y las principales industrias contra las cuerdas, millones de estadounidense requieren para sobrevivir de ayuda del gobierno - incluidos los seguros de desempleo, estampillas de comida y asistencia social en efectivo, afirma el Times.
